About
Do We Know This Man or My New Boyfriend Cole is an exploitable meme template in which a girl is shown sending a photo of a man to her Snapchat group chat, asking, "Do we know this man?" and one girl goes to type "My new boyfriend," but erases her message as the other girls in the group chat call him ugly and gross. As they criticize him, the girl gets a message from her boyfriend telling her that she's perfect. The girlfriend is then shown having a conversation with her boyfriend after defending him in the group chat. He asks if he can post something, and she says, "NO."
The meme first appeared online in December 2025 and was popularized on TikTok in early May 2026. It is often set to the song "Get You the Moon" by Kina. As a meme, the image of the boy in the group chat is typically replaced with an image of the poster or another person, and the second image that Cole sends the girlfriend is also replaced, often with a meme.
Origin
On December 24th, 2025, TikToker[1] @yvl_brayden6767676767 posted an edit of a fake Snapchat group chat called "Girlies" between several girls. The post gained over 99,800 views in six months.
In the video, one of the girls sends a photo of a man named Cole and asks, "Do we know this man?" The girls call him ugly, prompting the girl typing, whose POV the video is taken from, to erase a message she's typing that reveals Cole is her new boyfriend. She goes on to defend Cole as Cole sends her a message telling her that he loves her. Cole's girlfriend then goes to their conversation, and Cole asks if he can post a Druski Ravens meme.
