About

Do You Trust Me? With Every Cell Of My Body, also known as Do You Trust Me? With Every Cell In My Body, is an exploitable image macro series depicting fictional characters the Green Arrow and the Flash, based on a scene from the TV series Arrow. Online, a still image paired with the quote has been used as a reaction image, usually to illustrate misplaced trust or to mock those who are easily gullible.

Origin

The original clip that the meme is pulled from is seen during season eight, episode eight called "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Four," which was aired on January 14th, 2020. In the episode, the Green Arrow (now known as The Spectre) asks Flash to trust him during the climactic battle against the Anti-monitor (seen below).

The earliest example of the scene being used as a meme format appears on January 29th, 2020, in a post by Redditor[1] HectorDBotyInspect0r to the /r/Dankmemes subreddit (shown below), receiving over 11,600 upvotes and 37 comments in six months.
