The 2025 Nashville, Tennessee Antioch High School Shooting refers to a school shooting at Antioch High School in Nashville, Tennessee in late January 2025 that left two people dead and one injured, which was committed by 17-year-old shooter Solomon Henderson. The shooter partially livestreamed the attack via Kick and later shot himself and died, according to police. Following the incident, police found the shooter's 300-page manifesto, which contained several anti-Black contents, references to accelerationism, antisemitism and also listed several political commentators and online figures such as Ethan Ralph, Nick Fuentes, Candace Owens, Destiny, Hasan “Parker” (presumably a misspelling of "Hasan Piker") and iDubbbz as inspirations to enact the shooting. The incident rapidly garnered virality on social media in the following days, inspiring numerous reactions and discussions, especially due to the online nature of the shooter.

Background

On January 22nd, 2025, the 17-year-old teen Solomon Henderson opened fire in the cafeteria of Antioch High School around 11 a.m., killing 16-year-old Josselin Corea Escalante and injuring one other student. The shooting caused panic among students, who ran for cover. Henderson subsequently turned the gun on himself and died at the scene.^[1] The Associated Press^[2] uploaded a video covering the incident, which amassed more than 6,900 views and 70 likes in a day.

One student reportedly sustained a minor injury from a graze wound. The school had approximately 2,000 students enrolled and was located about 10 miles southeast of downtown Nashville.^[3]

Solomon Henderson's "NiggerCell" Manifesto

Shortly after news about the Antioch High School shooting, Metro Nashville Police stated^[4] it was investigating a 300-page manifesto titled "NiggerCell" allegedly written by Henderson. This document reportedly contained disturbing content including anti-Black and antisemitic views, as well as a detailed account of his intentions and inspirations behind the attack.

On January 22nd, 2025, the "Right-Wing Progressive" publication UBERSOY posted the Antioch School shooter's full manifesto to Substack,^[5] receiving roughly 40 likes and eight reposts in a day.

On the same day, the NewsChannel 5^[6] YouTube channel posted a video covering the shooter's manifesto, which amassed more than 51,000 views and 650 likes in a day.

Netizens also commented on some of the notes in the shooter's manifesto, especially the parts in which he mentions several political commentators, streamers and controversial internet figures as his inspiration.

For instance, on January 22nd, 2025, the X^[7] page @GuntNews posted parts of the manifesto, writing "Ethan Ralph and Nick Fuentes have been named as inspirations for the most recent school shooting," adding that Candace Owens, a conservative Black politics commentator, was one of the main personalities that reportedly radicalized him.

On January 22nd, 2025, the streaming platform Kick posted a statement on X^[8] regarding the shooter partially livestreaming the crime on its site, writing that the company "rapidly banned the account and removed the video" and that "violence has no place" on the platform. The tweet (seen below) received roughly 39,000 views and 400 likes in a day.
