Overview

Lashana Lynch 007 Casting refers to a viral rumor that actress Lashana Lynch will replace James Bond as the new agent 007 in the upcoming 25th James Bond film.

Background

On July 13th, 2019, The Daily Mail[1] published an article reporting that Lynch would replace James Bond as agent 007 in the upcoming Bond film. The article contained a quote from a "movie insider," who describes the scene where Lynch is revealed as the character (shown below).

"There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says ‘Come in 007’, and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman. It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he’s been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman."
