Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly Breakup Rumors refers to memes and stories that circulated online following a series of Instagram posts by actress Megan Fox, which seemed to imply her relationship with Machine Gun Kelly had ended. This relationship had been highly publicized and heavily discussed online. Fox also deleted posts featuring Kelly and followed rivals of his such as Eminem, Harry Styles and Timothée Chalamet.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were rumored to have started in May of 2020 and were engaged in January of 2022. Their often outlandish behavior, allegedly including a blood-drinking ritual and an engagement ring for Fox which Kelly said would hurt her if she tried to remove it, attracted much commentary online.[1]

Instagram activity by Megan Fox on February 12th, 2023 (Super Bowl Sunday) led many commentators to think her relationship with Kelly was over.[3] The star followed longtime Machine Gun Kelly rival Eminem. On Twitter,[6] @karenpoetri posted about Megan Fox following Eminem right after breaking up with Machine Gun Kelly, earning almost 1,400 likes on February 13th, 2023 (seen below).

One post quoted a Beyonce song about infidelity, leading many to think she had discovered Machine Gun Kelly cheating on her. A screenshot of the since-deleted Instagram post was saved on Twitter[7] by @cinemazietgeist, where it received over 82,000 likes the day after February 12th, can be seen below.
A few hours after making the post, Megan Fox appeared to have deleted her account on Instagram.[4]
Online Reactions
Many online connected the unfolding drama to other famous men. For example, some joked about Pete Davidson trying to seduce Fox. Davidson is notable for dating celebrity women like Kim Kardashian who exit high-profile relationships with celebrity men, and is also a friend of Machine Gun Kelly. On Twitter,[5] @robertsonaaron posted a meme with Davidson's face pasted in, which received over 2,800 likes in just under four hours on February 12th (seen below).
On TikTok,[2] [8] posters also joked about Pete Davidson pursuing Fox. For example, slycatproductions posted on February 12th a video predicting a Davidson/Fox relationship (seen below left). Others on TikTok, like zennymondayy, posted TikToks critical of Kelly, gaining over 40,000 likes in a day on February 13th (below right).
