Overview
The Miryam Segal TikTok Controversy refers to a controversy about videos from Israeli TikToker Miryam Segal (@miryamsegal) that were posted during the Israel-Hamas Conflict in late 2023. The primary video that spurred backlash toward Segal included Hebrew text that roughly translated to, "That feeling after we beat Gaza and have Disneyland, Sephora, Starbucks and hotels with water parks instead." Segal also garnered negative reactions for participating in the Israelis Mocking Palestinians TikTok Trend. Her videos and translated screenshots went viral via reposts on Twitter / X where much of the controversy manifested in October and November 2023.
