On September 13th, 2022, @mcdesconfiado.503 posted a video to TikTok^[1] where he is seen cutting a big chunk of cheese at work while also flirting in the direction of the camera with eyebrow raises and kisses. The video went viral quickly, receiving 10 million views in two weeks and by the end of the month, there were 12,000 videos tagged using the sound he used for the video, the song "Ahí Estaré Yo" by the Mexican band Los Temerarios^[2].

The way @mcdesconfiado.503 flirts with the camera was viewed online as wholesome and entertaining. People started to duet his video while pretending to be shy or happy in response to his flirtation, like in this TikTok^[3] by @lipstickfables, in which she pretends to be ordering cheese and flirting back. Posted on September 14th, 2022, the duet received 6.6 million views in two weeks.

Male creators also joined the trend by posting duets in which they pretended to appreciate his flirting. User @itsjanoah posted this TikTok^[4] on September 22nd, 2022, which shows him sprawled out in bed, laughing and kicking his legs back over his head like a stereotypical overzealous teenager after seeing @mcdesconfiado.503 throw kisses at him. The duet earned 3.2 million likes and 15 million views in one week.
