Galactic Nova Gets Destroyed, also known as "Galactic Nova Explosion" is a part of the ending scene to Milkyway Wishes involving the Galactic Nova's destruction in Kirby Super Star. The scene has been parodied multiple times on social media, showing different characters flying into Nova and causing it to explode.

Origin

In both Kirby Super Star and its remake, the scene titled "Kirby's Triumphant Return" will play after the player has defeated Marx in Milkyway Wishes. At the beginning of the scene, Marx can be seen flying into the vulnerable part of the Galactic Nova, causing it to explode shortly after.

Spread

As the scene grew popular, altered versions of it were created on YouTube with Marx being replaced by different characters and objects. An example editing the scene with footage from Spongebob Squarepants posted by Contra on January 22nd, 2017 gained over 72,000 views (shown below, left). An edit by user Truongasm posted February 5th, 2018 using characters from Pop Team Epic gained over 34,000 views (shown below, right).

One particularly unique edit was created by m a y o on May 31st, 2018, titled "Another Unfunny Nova Meme." In it, Knuckles from Sonic Mania Adventures: Part 3 is shown throwing Ray into Nova, but instead of having it explode on impact, Marx appears to save it from destruction. The meme was used at the end of "Something About Kirby Super Star ANIMATED," posted by TerminalMontage on June 28th, 2018, which gained over 190,000 views in a day.
