About
GeorgeNotFound Crying refers to a piece of fan art depicting Dream SMP member GeorgeNotFound crying in his car while holding an invite for fellow Minecraft YouTubers Dream and Fundy's wedding. Dream and Fundy held a joke wedding in Minecraft in December 2020, with George jokingly objecting to the wedding in a YouTube video. The fan art came to be used as an ironic reaction meme alongside captions to depict great sadness in 2024.
Origin
On December 6th, 2020, YouTuber[1] Fundy posted a video titled, "I Married Dream…," gathering over 11 million likes in four years. Toward the end of the video, fellow YouTuber "GeorgeNotFound" says, "I object!" (shown below).
Sometime around January 16th, 2024, Twitter[2] / X user @callistopt posted a piece of fan art showing GeorgeNotFound crying in his car while holding an invite to Dream and Fundy's wedding. The caption on the post read, "'You said forever, now I drive alone past your street…' I was listening to drivers license and I got inspired. // George opening the invitation to Fundy's and Dream's wedding." The post has since been deleted, gathering an unknown number of likes.

On April 3rd, 2024, X[3] user @nekotacon posted the earliest known notable post using the meme, gathering over 26,000 likes on a tweet that read, "Me when oomf interacts with an awful person."
On June 29th, 2024, webcomic artist and X[4] user @fallenchungus posted the piece of fan art alongside a caption that read, "me reading the 53rd 'bros homeless' tweet in my mentions," gathering over 23,000 likes in four months.
On July 24th, 2024, X[5] user @rottingsooda reposted the meme, writing, "when oomfs take is so bad you just stare at the screen for a bit," and gathering over 58,000 likes in three months.
