GMBS is an acronym for "Give Me Backshots" that was popularized as a hashtag and through videos related to the so-called "Give Me Backshots dance trend" on TikTok between April and May 2026. The trend involves dancing to the unreleased song "Backshots" by rapper SWAE as she repeatedly sings, "Gimme backshots." The trend began in late April 2026 and went viral over the following weeks, inspiring over 18,000 uses under its original sound by mid-May 2026.

Origin

On April 23rd, 2026, TikToker[1] @feins4_ju.li.naya_ posted a dance video set to an unreleased SWAE song known as "Backshots."[2] The video gained over one million views in a month.
