Go Piss Someone Off, Denki's Quest! is a copypasta from the steam inventory trading website scrap.tf, where users spammed the giveaway page of scrap.tf with a Team Fortress 2 inventory item called Jarate, which is a jar used by the sniper class that looks like it contains urine and will leave enemies open to crit-damage for eight seconds. The name "Go Piss Someone Off" is a pun on the contents of the jar.

Origin

On June 29th, 2019, a scrap.tf user by the name Denki^[5] posted a giveaway containing Team Fortress 2 in-game items with the title "Go piss someone off #86 (A Quest for Scrap Users)."^[3] In this giveaway, Denki stated that they would be holding a "contest" on the 12th of July, where they promised to give away valuable Team Fortress 2 in-game items for each giveaway hosted by other users that contained the title "Go piss someone off, Denki's Quest!" and the in-game item "Jarate."

Spread

A few minutes after midnight at the start of the contest, various users of scrap.tf spammed the giveaway section with the title "Go piss someone off, Denki's Quest!" and the item "Jarate", causing confusion among users.^[2]

Denki's prize giveaway^[4] began on the 13th of July, and contained 124 Jarate along with various valuable Team Fortress 2 items.

A total of 1784 Jarate have been given away from various users including valuable variations.^[6]

Repercussions

Denki's contest had an impact on the sale of Jarate, where increased demand of the item to participate in the contest led to scarcity, with many popular Team Fortress 2 trading sites selling out of Jarate, and community members selling the item at much higher prices for the duration of the competition.
