Goddammit Same Shit Every Day is an exploitable video clip of TikToker Colin Metzger, aka @voicemonsteredits, trying to pry something apart using a tool, which slips and hits his hand, then getting frustrated and yelling, "Goddammit, same shit every day!" The skit was uploaded to TikTok in December 2023 and went viral in March 2024 as both an original sound for lip dub videos and as a green screen meme used to portray something frustrating.

Origin

On December 5th, 2023, TikToker[1] @voicemonsteredits posted a skit that begins with himself, playing a mechanic, trying to pry something apart using a tool, muttering, "Come on you motherfucker." He fails and the tool slips, causing him to get frustrated and yell, "goddammit, same shit every day!" The video gained over 1.3 million views in three months (shown below).

The video's original sound was popularized in later February throughout March 2024 as the source of lip dub videos. For example, on February 28th, 2024, TikToker[2] @elijahtowery posted a video to the sound that gained over 13 million views in a month (shown below, left). On March 6th, TikToker[3] @bapeanutbutter posted a video that gained 7 million views in three weeks (shown below, right).

The clip of Metzger prying with the tool also became a popular exploitable green screen clip that month. For example, on March 11th, TikToker[4] @xxairqueenxx posted a video using the meme to represent the lockpicking in Skyrim, garnering over 1.3 million views in two weeks (shown below).
