Green M&M Bambi Copypasta refers to a Tumblr post in which a person role-playing as the Green M&M character demands that the person they're talking to go to Gamestop and get a game called Bambi on the Playstation 2. The threatening demeanor of the post has inspired variations where others role-play as the Green M&M and make similar demands in the voice of the character.

Origin

On April 24th, 2017, Tumblr user relishboi[1] responded to a text post on Tumblr from user brownreasontolive that said "hate this site" in the character of the Green M&M. After a few posts back and forth, relishboi posted:

now listen to me young man, i am talking directly into your ear now. i need you to do me a favor. you will do this for me. i need you to go to gamestop, and i need you to ask the bastard working the counter if they have bambi on the ps2. if you come back empty handed youll be in big trouble mister. you will never see the light of day.

The post, shown below, has over 104,000 notes.

The text became a copypasta on Tumblr in the following months. On April 29th, 2017, Tumblr page sonicjam[2] posted the copypasta underneath fan art of Sonic the Hedgehog character Rouge the Bat (shown below, left). Tumblr user wiihtigo[3] did the same with fan art of Devilman Crybaby on January 19th, 2018 (shown below, right).

In early 2018, Twitter users began posting in the voice of the character from relishboi's post with different pictures of the Green M&M. For example, on February 11th, 2018, Twitter user @Galaxyoogale[4] uploaded a picture of the Green M&M with a reference to the original post, gaining over 1,600 retweets and 2,400 likes (shown below, left). On the 13th, Twitter user @KendanKip[5] uploaded a similar post that gained over 1,300 retweets and 2,100 likes (shown below, right). The meme was covered by The Daily Dot[6] on February 15th, 2018.
