About

Harrison Ford Baby Boy Evil is an image macro format similar to the Drakeposting meme in which actor Harrison Ford is saying that a character is a "baby boy, baby" and in the next panel, saying that a different character is "evil." The format is typically used in comparison memes, with variations of it using the same character for both the baby and evil portions.

Origin

The original video where the stills of Harrison Ford come from dates back to a 2019 interview with Le Petit Journal that was reuploaded to YouTube on June 16th, 2019, by user Toko, receiving over 48,700 views and 2,600 likes in roughly three years (seen below).

The earliest known recorded usage of the template comes from the DeviantArt page DollieGuts[1] on July 2nd, 2017, in which it was used to compare two of their original characters (shown below). Its usage here being applied to an OC character may imply the existence of earlier usage, as well as the filename listed "Meme by AkaneHarumi2016," but evidence of AkaneHarumi's first post using it does not exist.

Spread

The meme continued to spread over the following years on Tumblr, largely as a part of various fandom posting. An example from the Tumblr page capricornettowastaken[2] in which a meme about SpiderMan: Far From Home that references the evil nature of Jake Gyllenhaal's character was posted on July 8th, 2019 (shown below).

On August 14th, 2020, iFunny user ChrisTheBoulderRedfield[3] posted a version of the meme that compares different versions of Chris Redfield from the Resident Evil series, earning 51 likes in two years (shown below).
