He Literally Just Nutted In Me, also known as He Just Nut In Me and Started Playing, is a catchphrase and phrasal template used in a series of memes written from the POV of a female who complains about her sex partner leaving her after intercourse to play video games or engage in other activities, typically hobbies. The format, using the snowclone "He Just Nut In Me and Started X," gained popularity in November 2019 following a viral tweet, with the "He Literally Just Nutted In Me and Started X" variant using an exploitable Snapchat caption appearing around 2021.
Origin
On November 4th, 2019, Twitter user @ShannonGnoll tweeted a photograph of a man playing League of Legends, writing that he "just nut in her and started playing" (shown below).[1] The tweet gained over 10,000 retweets and 38,700 likes in one month.
Spread
In the following days, the tweet received viral spread as a screenshot shared on Instagram, iFunny and other platforms.[2] In the following days, a number of users on Twitter shared similarly worded posts, with males in the photograph playing League of Legends, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Halo 3 and other videogames. For example, a post by Twitter user ayylmaotv received over 1,300 retweets and 8,700 likes (shown below, left).[3]
On November 11th, 2019, Facebook group Daily updates on the status of Alexander the Great posted a meme based on an iFunny repost of @ShannonGnoll's post which received over 600 reactions and 170 shares (shown below).[4] Additionally, a template was posted in the comments.[5]
In the following days, the format gained a notable presence in Facebook meme communities, including posts by Daily updates on the status of the Roman Empire,[6] Dark Souls Sifposting[7] and The Witcher Ciriposting.[8]
