Hi Squidward / It Sure Is Nice refers to a viral video trend and meme in which Squidward Tentacles is enjoying an activity only for an object-shaped SpongeBob to ruin his good time. The original variation was called The Scenery Sure Is Pleasant From My Hot Squid Balloon and was posted by Instagram user @absolutenutcase162 in mid-2022. The trend spread to iFunny and YouTube in early 2023, including the It Sure Is Nice Driving My 2020 Chevy Silverado variation made by iFunnyer @NINEUP (Nine-Up Gonz).

On July 3rd, 2022, Instagram[1] user @absolutenutcase162 posted a three-panel image meme that showed Squidward in a hot air balloon made out of his face with a speech bubble reading, "the scenery sure is pleasant from my hot squid balloon." In the second panel, SpongeBob's face is on a missile and Impact text reads, "Hi Squidward." The final frame shows an aerial explosion. Over the course of eight months, the post received roughly 3,300 likes (shown below).

On July 5th, 2022, Twitter[2] user @little_paisano tweeted a voice-over video of @absolutenutcase162's meme, gaining roughly 6,300 views and 1,100 likes in eight months (shown below).

The next day, July 6th, 2022, Instagram[3] user @absolutenutcase162 uploaded their own voice-over video of the original meme, gaining roughly 18,100 views and 3,500 likes in eight months (shown below).

It Sure Is Nice Driving My 2020 Chevy Silverado / Hi Squidward

On March 9th, 2023, iFunnyer[4] @NINEUP posted a moldy video that started with Squidward saying, "It sure is nice driving my 2020 Chevy Silverado," and then showed a black-and-white deer photo with SpongeBob's face and Impact text reading, "Hi Squidward." Dashcam footage of a deer hitting a windshield was then shown. Over the course of 20 days, the post received roughly 2,600 smiles (shown below).

Continuing into March 2023, the video was reposted to multiple platforms like YouTube[5] and TikTok.[6] Soon after, variations of the video format surfaced in which different SpongeBob objects ruined Squidward's good time. For instance, on March 21st, 2023, YouTuber[7] ScottSpel posted an iteration called, "It sure is nice living in ancient rome," earning roughly 3,600 views and over 300 likes in eight days (shown below).
