Origin

On June 10th, 2023, Instagram^[1] user absolutenutcase162 posted a comic in which SpongeBob asks Patrick if God loves them. Patrick claims that God would never do anything that wouldn't help the human race. In the second panel, Homer Simpson, representing God, looms over the Earth and says, "add butterfinger to orlando." In the third panel, people in Orlando are seen running from the impact of a giant Butterfinger candy bar. The post gained over 11,500 likes in two years.

The image of Homer Simpson comes from a Butterfinger commercial crossover with The Simpsons in which Homer tries to steal a Butterfinger from Bart's room while he sleeps.
