Patrick I Swear To God refers to a series of animations based on a SpongeBob parody comic by @absolutenutcase162's. In the comic, Patrick makes an enormous pineapple pizza and SpongeBob realizes the pineapple came from his house.

Origin

On August 25th, 2023, Instagram^[1] user @absolutenutcase162 uploaded a comic in which Patrick has made a large Hawaiian pineapple pizza using SpongeBob's house. The post received more than 35,000 likes in two months (shown below).

On September 3rd, 2023, YouTube^[2] user Pepper!! uploaded a video version of the comic by using SpongeBob AI text-to-speech and the boowomp sound effect. It received more than 1.1 million views in one month (shown below).

Spread

Starting in September of 2023, many users uploaded reanimated versions of the comic to YouTube using the Pepper!! audio. For example, on September 12th, 2023, YouTube^[3] user Epicwolfchillli uploaded an animated version of @absolutenutcase162's comic. The video received more than 590,000 views in one month (shown below, left). On September 18th, 2023, YouTube^[4] user LemonTwistz uploaded a similar animated version that received more than 422,000 views in three weeks (shown below, right).

On September 13th, 2023, YouTube^[5] user trolly's trashbin uploaded an animation and received more than 137,000 views in four weeks (shown below, left). On the same day, YouTube^[6] user DawB uploaded a 3D animation that received more than 405,000 views in four weeks (shown below, right).
