About
Hipster Peter Griffin refers to an image macro that shows the character Peter Griffin from the animated show Family Guy dressed like a stereotypical millennial hipster, wearing thick-rimmed glasses and his hair in a man-bun while riding a hoverboard as he looks at his phone. The image comes from the Family Guy episode "HTTPete," which originally aired in May 2018. After 2023, the image came to be used to joke about people having millennial or Gen Z tendencies or tastes, like being chronically online or having niche and "different" tastes in media and culture.

He takes the help of an expert millennial to learn more about the generation's habits, and in one scene, he is shown hoverboarding down a sidewalk wearing a man-bun, a button-up shirt and thick-rimmed glasses while texting.
The scene was reposted to YouTube[1] on May 16th, 2018, by user AniDom, where it gathered over 5 million views in seven years.
The earliest known meme featuring the image of "hipster" Peter Griffin is a November 15th, 2023, post with a You Smoke Too Tough. Your Swag Too Different meme on X[2] / Twitter by user @erallover that read, "Me: Peter you have to stop. You smoke too tough. Your swag too different.
