History Eraser Button is an exploitable scene from The Ren & Stimpy Show. The scene has been redrawn, or recreated in 3D animation tools such as Source Filmmaker.

Origin

The scene comes from the Ren & Stimpy episode titled Space Madness, which first aired on Nickelodeon on September 8th, 1991.^[1] In the scene (shown below), Stimpy is charged with guarding the History Eraser Button. Shortly afterward, a narrator in the background tempts Stimpy to press the button, and appears into the scene to grab Stimpy and urge him even further until Stimpy finally gives in and presses the button. This causes Ren, Stimpy, and even the narrator to be vaporized.

On June 15th, 2012, YouTube user ColeTheMeerkat posted a short fan animation of the opening of the scene using Happy Tree Friends characters Lifty and Nutty.^[2] The animation (shown below, left) received over 201,000 views in over ten years. On January 6th, 2013, YouTube user Shef posted a recreation of the scene in Source Filmmaker using Team Fortress 2 characters Scout, Soldier, and Heavy.^[3] The SFM animation (shown below, right) received over 308,000 views in over ten years.

On December 31st, 2017, YouTube user Mister Prawn posted an parody of the scene using Garry's Mod and Cuphead characters Cagney Carnation and Goopy Le Grande.^[4] The parody (shown below) received over 3.6 million views in over five years.
