Hypers is a Twitch emote of a celebrating Pepe the Frog. It is generally associated with the streamer GreekGodX, and is part of the larger Peepo series of Twitch and Discord emotes.

Origin

Hypers was first uploaded to FrankerFacez^[1] on February 24th, 2018 by Ruse69Master (shown below).

Spread

Roughly a month later, FrankerFacez user Indeedeedeed^[2] uploaded a higher-resolution version of the emote (shown below).

Hypers is associated with streamer GreekGodX, who encourages the use of the emote in his streams. A thread about Hypers was posted to /r/greekgodx^[4] on February 15th, a week before the FrankerFacez upload. The use of Hypers was complained about in an /r/Forsen^[3] post from March 10th, as user SaveMeShenpai claimed streamers greekgodx and sodapoppin were forcing their popularity. In /r/greekgodx, fans have created fan art of the emote as the streamer (example shown below, left). Another piece of fan art has been created for the streamer Tyler1 (shown below, right).
