I Love You Sasha refers to the Russian song "My Love Танюха" by Igorek in which a female singer says, "I love you Sasha (Саша)," and a male singer responds, "Я тебя также (I love you too)." The song was originally made in 2000. On TikTok in 2024, I Love You Sasha became a TikTok trend when the song went viral and gained memetic usage like animations. Sped up and slowed down remixes also trended.
Origin
In the year 2000, Russian artist Igorek released the album Подождём твою мать that included the song "My Love Танюха" as its third track.[1] The song was posted to YouTube[2] by Igorek's "Topic" channel on October 18th, 2018, gaining over 1.2 million views in six years (shown below). At the video's 1:05-minute mark, the female vocalist says, "I love you, Sasha."

Memetic usage using the sound[5] persisted, like a video posted by TikToker[6] @qwwersl on March 11th, 2024, that showed a kid getting his haircut, gaining over 2.6 million plays and 380,200 likes in one month (shown below, right).

On February 12th, 2024, TikToker[7] @lixlyysongs posted a sped-up version of the song, gaining over 3.8 million plays and 292,600 likes in one month. The video also created a sound[8] that amassed usage, evident in viral dance videos posted by Russian TikToker[9][10] @meeynara in February 2024 (examples shown below).

YouTubers also started to post Shorts with the song going into March 2024. For instance, on March 4th, 2024, YouTuber[11] Violent_mell posted a meme that used a greenscreen video of a man clapping, gaining over 1.4 million views and 80,000 likes in 18 days (shown below).
By March 22nd, 2024, the trend's primary TikTok sounds[5][8] had amassed over 39,100 posts and 43,000 posts, respectively.
