On February 7th, 2023, Twitter^[1] user @I_SHOOT_COPS posted an AI voice clip showing Joe Biden with weed in his hands. The tweet is currently the first-known posting of the AI voice clip but it is also likely that the voice was first posted to 4chan's /pol/ board, similar to other /pol/^[2] threads that surfaced in late January 2023 with similar AI Joe Biden voice clips on the site Vocaroo.com. Over the course of two weeks, the video received roughly 151,100 views and 8,500 likes (shown below).

For instance, on February 11th, 2023, TikToker^[4] @jakeyjaker posted a video in which he lied to his mom about it being a real Joe Biden speech. Over the course of ten days, the video received roughly 7.3 million plays and 1.4 million likes (shown below, right).

Around the same time, users on Twitter were referencing the copypasta, such as Twitter^[5] user @isaac_why on February 11th who tweeted the phrase and earned over 1,000 likes in ten days. On February 12th, 2023, the copypasta was added to Reddit's /r/copypasta^[6] subreddit by Redditor Finnabon69, earning over 40 upvotes in nine days.

Others on TikTok started generating new AI voice clips using the copypasta. For instance, on February 17th, 2023, TikToker^[7] @imdumbong posted an AI Cr1TiKaL voice iteration, earning roughly 715,500 plays and 157,800 likes in four days (shown below).
