The scene was quickly paired with captions giving the line a humorous context. One of the first, posted to Facebook group 8shit on May 9th, 2018, gained over 6,300 likes and reactions (shown below, left).^[1] A May 11th, 2018 /r/dankmemes^[2] post about reposted memes gained over 16,000 points (shown below, right).

The format continued to trend through the following year.
