The meme used top and bottom captions written in Impact font to label the default Windows XP Bliss background image as a place desirable of getting "sloppy." The meme (shown below) received roughly 3,700 likes over three months.

Instagram^[2] user @hollowcloth posted another meme to their page using the catchphrase on August 29th, 2021. The meme (shown below) received roughly 2,300 likes over three months.

The first known derivative example of "Imagine Getting Sloppy Here" was posted to Twitter^[3] on September 9th, 2021, by Twitter user @Coppersulfate81. The tweet (shown below) received nine likes in three months.

The original August 12th, 2021, meme was reposted to other Instagram pages going into October 2021, helping the catchphrase gain more traction on the platform. For instance, on September 29th, Instagram^[4] page @patiasfantasyworld reposted the original meme and received roughly 31,600 likes over the course of two months.

Derivative memes surfaced on Instagram after the @patiasfantasyworld repost. The first known derivative usage on Instagram was posted by Instagram^[5] page @douggiehouse on October 13th, 2021. The meme (shown below) received roughly 22,000 likes over the course of one month.

The catchphrase received more usage on Twitter^[6] going into October 2021. It also received attention on Reddit.
