It's Me, I'm the PS5, also known simply as PS5 TikTok, refers to a series of memes based on the lyrics from a viral freestyle by TikToker nickiskindastrange in early 2022. In the video, nickiskindastrange pretends to be a PlayStation 5 console, enticing people to choose his side in the Us or PS5? debate and trend. In late February, the TikTok went viral on Tumblr, with users creating memes referencing the song and using the lyrics as a copypasta.
Origin
On February 13th, 2022, TikToker[1] @nickiskindastrange replied to TikToker @salemilese's Us or PS5? meme with a Duet. In the Duet, nickiskindastrange voice acts as a PlayStation 5 console trying to convince the viewer to choose it over the girl. The video gained over 698,700 views and 151,500 likes in one month (shown below).

The video did not see viral spread until February 17th, 2022, when Tumblr[2] user peeshykeen reuploaded it. On Tumblr, the video gained over 101,000 likes and reblogs in three weeks.

As of February 22nd, 2022, the video reached a viral point, with Tumblr[3][4][5] users peeshykeen, ilajue and ladyofthedam posting some of the earliest viral posts referencing the video on that day (shown below). For example, peeshykeen's meme gained over 23,000 likes and reblogs in two weeks, while ilajue's post gained over 11,000.
On February 23rd, 2022, Tumblr[6] user enderspawn posted a collection of It's Me, I'm the PS5 memes shared by Tumblr users on the previous day, asking whether nickiskindastrange's was aware of his Tumblr fame. The post gained over 22,000 likes and reblogs in two weeks. On February 26th, 2022, Tumblr[7] user pupperish shared a screenshot of a TikTok comment in which nickymaddalina acknowledged the popularity of the meme on Tumblr (screenshot shown below).
In the following weeks, various memes based on the lyrics were posted by users on Tumblr, including memes recognizing it as an earworm and memes in which characters from various media performed the song, with the lyrics sometimes adapted accordingly.
