About
Coco Martin "Sir Tapos Na Po," often misspelled "Ser Tapos Na Po," refers to an exploitable video clip of Filipino actor Coco Martin saying, "Sir, tapos na po," in Tagalog, which means, "Sir, it's over," in English. The video is a scene from the 2005 film Masahista, or The Masseur. It was first used as a meme on Facebook in early August 2025. It later spread to TikTok, where a green-screen template of the clip was edited into viral videos. The clip of Coco Martin was commonly edited into a classroom setting, in which Martin was addressing a teacher character.
Origin
On October 19th, 2005, the Filipino film Masahista, or The Masseur, was released. It starred actor Coco Martin as Iliac, a male sex worker who "works in a massage parlor where the gay clients are given more than a shoulder kneading and back rub," according to the film's synopsis. The film was internationally acclaimed at the time.[2]
In one scene, Martin's character says, "Sir, tapos na po," which means, "Sir, it's over," in English. The soundbite was included at the end of the film's trailer.[1]
