Jdon My Soul, sometimes shortened to simply Jdon, is a slang term and catchphrase that originated from a Hololive VTuber stream in February 2024. Hololive-EN YouTubers Nerissa Ravencroft, Kobo Kanaeru, Todoroki Hajime, Kaela Kovalskia and Sakura Miko were hosted on Hakos Baelz's YouTube account for a game of Telephone, when Todoroki Hajime mispronounced the phrase "Maccas run" as "Maccas Jdon," prompting jokes and memes from Hololive followers.

Origin

On February 18th, 2024, various Hololive VTubers played a game of Telephone on Hakos Baelz's YouTube^[1] account. In a segment that begins at the 0:59:55 timestamp (ending at the 1:23:40 timestamp), VTuber Todoroki Hajime can be heard mispronouncing part of the phrase, "G'day mate, haven't had brekkie yet so might go on a maccas run soon?"

The group of VTubers joked about the mispronunciation of "maccas run" as "macca jdon," misinterpreting the line as "Jdon My Soul" instead of "maccas run soon" (shown below).

Various Hololive fans shared memes and jokes about the word "Jdon" and the phrase "Jdon my soul" in subsequent days.

On February 19th, 2024, X^[2] user @hadiruto posted a Pepe Silvia meme using Kaela Kovalskia's likeness. The post gathered over 7,000 likes in four days (seen below, left). X^[3] user @benthomasV posted a meme about the phrase trending on X on February 20th, gathering over 1,000 likes in a day (seen below, right).

Redditor /u/dandylantern posted fan art about the phrase to /r/Hololive^[4] on February 22nd, gathering over 5,000 upvotes in a day (seen below).
