Joe Biden's Amazon Rainforest Visit, also known as Joe Biden Walking In The Rainforest, refers to a viral video of United States President Joe Biden in which he visited the Amazon Rainforest in Manaus, Brazil to announce a proclamation to support the conservation of nature around the world. A clip showing Biden walking towards the forest went viral on X / Twitter in mid-November 2024, sparking Photoshop edits of Biden lost in the woods, as well as memes of the President's visit to the rainforest.

Origin

On November 17th, 2024, Joe Biden became the first sitting U.S. President to visit the Amazon Rainforest.^[1] Biden gave a speech (seen below) while in Manaus, Brazil, announcing a proclamation to support the conservation of nature around the world. C-Span posted the full speech that day, amassing more than 2,000 views and 140 likes in a few hours.

At the same time, the X^[2] page Pop Base posted a clip from the end of Biden's speech at the Amazon Rainforest, showing the President walking towards the woods (seen below), which garnered over 1 million views and 46,000 likes in an hour.

The clip of President Biden walking towards inside of the Amazon Rainforest quickly sparked photoshops and memes on the internet, some using it as an exploitable format. For example, on November 17th, 2024, X^[3] user @Network_Guy8 added a video of a man dancing to a remix of former President Donald Trump's They're Eating the Dogs meme, which amassed roughly 250 views and 10 likes in a few hours (seen below).

On the same day, TikTok^[4] user @mvsmotta posted Biden's Amazon Rainforest clip, writing, "Joe Biden wanders into the Amazon, which received roughly 1,000 views and 20 likes in a few hours (shown below).

Also on November 17th, 2024, X^[5] user @LucaGuadagnegro posted a still image of Biden walking to the woods, writing, "and he was never seen again," which amassed over 2,800 likes and 40 reposts in a few hours (seen below).
