About
Kash Patel "I'll See You in Valhalla" refers to a quote from FBI director Kash Patel in a press conference about the Charlie Kirk Shooting at Utah Valley University (UVU) in which he addressed the late Kirk, saying, "Lastly, to my friend Charlie Kirk, rest now, brother. We have the watch, and I'll see you in Valhalla." Valhalla, one of Nordic mythology's afterlife realms for warriors killed in battle, is often viewed in online circles as related to white nationalist fantasies, akin to internet spaces that idolize Hyperborea and Agartha. In turn, Patel's Valhalla reference raised questions and viral discourse on social media sites in mid-September 2025, with many wondering what Patel meant due to his status as a non-white person. Memes and posts mocking Patel's quote surfaced en masse on Twitter / X, Reddit and other sites. An edited image of Kash Patel as a white man with blonde hair and blue eyes also began appearing online, related to Patel's Valhalla quote.
Origin
On September 12th, 2025, Utah Governor Spencer Cox and FBI Director Kash Patel held a joint press conference with other Utah and FBI officials to announce that law enforcement had identified and apprehended the main suspect, Tyler Robinson, in the killing of right-wing political commentator Charlie Kirk. Kirk was assassinated two days prior, at a debate event held at Utah Valley University.[2][3]
In the press conference, Kash Patel ended his segment, saying, "Lastly, to my friend Charlie Kirk, rest now, brother. We have the watch, and I'll see you in Valhalla."
