On July 1st, 2024, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a 6-3 ruling determining that presidential immunity extends to all of the president's official acts. In response to the decision, President Joe Biden delivered a primetime address saying the presidential immunity set a "dangerous precedent" that could turn presidents into kings.^[1]

Shortly after Biden's speech, X^[2] user @AuntSassyAss shared an AI-generated image of Joe Biden as a king wearing a golden crown (seen below). The image is accompanied by the caption "Hail King Biden 🤴 banish the orange felon from our land." The post received over 8,400 likes and 2,200 reposts in two days.
