Leon S. Kennedy's One-Liners are catchphrases imagined in the style of popular Resident Evil character Leon S. Kennedy roasting everything and everyone. Online, pictures of him smiling have often been paired with various fictionnal characters from different franchises and texts/voice overs making fun of them of in a corny way.

Origins

In the enduring Resident Evil videogame series, Leon S. Kennedy was introduced as early as 1998 with Resident Evil 2. However, it wasn't until his return in Resident Evil 4, released in January 2005, that the character began serving one-liners and witty remarks^[1]. Both remakes, starting in 2019, anchored Leon's persona as a parody of 80s and 90s action heros, delivering ever-so increasing lines and catchphrases as the games went on. While acknowledged by fans, this dissing and spitting characterization came to a head with the release of Resident Evil 9: Requiem in February 2026, starring a middle-aged, disgruntled Leon S. Kennedy as one of the main protagonists.
As a matter of fact, many YouTube videos exist compiling every corny one-liner he uttered in this latest game installment alone.

The game introduced a new parry mechanic allowing Leon to parry almost every attack, no matter how destructive.
Thus, online, people where quick to couple this new ability with his one-liners, making him duel and win over various fictional characters (examples from a YouTube user dubbing the lines shown below):
