Venom: Let There Be Carnage is an upcoming superhero action film starring Tom Hardy and the second film in the Venom franchise.
History
On October 5th, 2018, Sony Pictures released the film Venom in the United States. During the film's post-credit sequence, the character Cletus Kasady, also known as Carnage, (portrayed by Woody Harrelson) appears on screen (shown below).
The following year, on August 5th, 2019, The Hollywood Reporter[2] announced that actor Andy Serikis had been hired to direct the film. That day, Serkis announced his hiring on Instagram. He wrote, "It’s actually happening. I can feel it, the Symbiote has found a host in me, and I’m ready for the ride…Can’t wait! Are you ready." The post received more than 55,000 likes in less than one year (shown below).

On April 21st, 2020, the verified Venom Twitter account published the reveal of the film's title. The post received more than 866,000 views, 36,000 likes and 15,000 retweets in less than two days (shown below).
