Little Grey Cat is the nickname given to a kitten of the British Shorthair breed that rose to viral fame on Tumblr through a variety of musical tributes and photoshopped parodies in late September 2014.

The "Little Grey Cat" was originally introduced as a cover image for a song titled "Little Grey Cat Theme Song," uploaded by Tumblr user Innocentwaif on September 17th, 2014, which features a MIDI rendition of a score track from The Legend of Zelda video game series. Within the first three months of the upload, the post garnered more than 70,000 notes and over 600,000 plays.

On September 25th, YouTuber The Prime Minister of America submitted a mirror version of the theme song to the video-sharing site, where it accumulated over 8,000 views in the following three months. On October 4th, the first single topic blog devoted to the "little grey cat" was launched. On October 20th, Tumblr blogger Torridgristle shared a cutout exploitable image of the cat, which accumulated over 21,000 notes in just over three months. On November 3rd, another fan blog titled "Little Grey Cat Universe" was launched to curate a series of photoshopped images featuring the face of the cat.
