Lucki "Shhhhhh" refers to multiple images of rapper Lucki putting a finger to his lips with Instagram text overlay that coveys him shushing the viewer. The primary image of Lucki (and many others that eventually surfaced) were used in memes on Twitter, TikTok and elsewhere in 2022 and 2023, primarily as a reaction image. Lucki originally said "Shhhhh" in his 2019 song "Hush Skit."

Origin

On October 24th, 2019, the YouTube^[1] channel for LUCKI posted the music video for his song "Hush Skit." In the song, the word "lean" is replaced with Lucki shushing the camera and putting his finger to his mouth. Over the course of three years, the video received roughly 919,900 views and 17,000 likes (shown below).

Sometime in early April 2022 amid Lucki's 2022 tour, an Instagram Story was posted (presumably from his own account) that showed him on a sidewalk wearing a Stone Island outfit and shushing the camera with text overlay reading, "Shhhhhh." A cropped version of the image surfaced first, posted by Twitter^[2] user dannyxgesko on April 2nd, 2022 (shown below, left). However, a full-length version of the image showing a visible Instagram Story undercrop was posted to Reddit's /r/OkBuddyRetard^[3] on June 4th, 2022 (shown below, right). It is currently unknown on what date the original Instagram Story was posted.

The original Lucki "Shhhhhh" image was reposted elsewhere in April 2022 such as by Instagram^[4] user wockhardtsoulja on April 6th, 2022, gaining over 480 likes in nine months. As 2022 continued, Lucki's "Shhhhhh" image was used in memetic content. For instance, on July 16th, 2022, TikToker^[5] heksensabbat used Lucki's "Shhhhhh" image in the first known Corecore edit on TikTok, gaining roughly 131,700 likes in six months (shown below).

In late 2022, another Lucki "Shhhhhh" image surfaced, tweeted by the Twitter^[6] account therealugs on November 17th, 2022, and gaining roughly 1,900 likes in two months (shown below, left). On November 22nd, 2022, Twitter^[7] user tize4pf tweeted a new "Shhhhh" pic of Lucki, captioning it, "lucki shhhh pics are funny asl," and earning roughly 4,000 likes in two months (shown below, right).

On December 20th, 2022, Redditor staylowprada posted a comment to /r/BruceDropEmOff ^[8] that included a four-panel image showing four Lucki "Shhhhhh" pics (shown below, left). On the next day, December 21st, 2022, Twitter^[9] user BL4KEGRIFFIN quote retweeted a tweet about Messi's Qatar Foundation jersey sponsor for Barcelona FC with the four-panel image, gaining roughly 10,500 likes in three weeks (shown below, right).
