Lucy Loud Secretly Likes is an exploitable image featuring the character Lucy Loud from the Nickelodeon's animated series The Loud House having an embarrassing poster hanging behind one that is evidently much cooler. The embarrassing poster is usually of a television show intended for children.

Origin

In the episode "Sleuth or Consequences," which aired on May 17th, 2016, a poster on Lucy's wall flips down to reveal a Princess Pony poster behind it.^[1]

On September 22nd, 2016 DeviantArt user eagc7 uploaded a template version of the image to create exploitable variations.^[2]

Spread

The posting of the template led to the creation of multiple variations. For example, on September 23rd, 2016, user StarRion20 used the template and added the characters from the show Oodobs shown below, left). On September 25th, 2016, user MarcosPower1996 uploaded a picture of the meme with the protagonist of the 2016 reboot of The Powerpuff Girls (shown below, right).

The format remained popular over the following two years on DeviantArt. While most of the examples used cartoon shows on the secret poster, other examples include a post by HairyFood which uses a still taken from DeviantArt (shown below, left) and a post by hicbar which uses a character from The Walking Dead (shown below, right).
