The Loud House: Revamped is a fanfiction written by Jamesdean5842, based on The Loud House and later hundreds of other fiction franchises. It gained noteriety in 2024 for its extreme length, with many calling it the longest piece in the history of literature.

History

Origin

On November 6, 2017, a FanFiction.net user named Jamesdean5842 (real name James^[6]) began writing a fanfiction titled The Loud House: Revamped based on The Loud House.^[1] The fic would continue to be written over the next 7 years, with new chapters usually added daily.^[5] The fic is written in a script format (known as a “script fic”).

This is my own version of the Loud House where I move to Royal Woods, Michigan. When I move to Michigan and Meet the Loud Kids, The Entirety of the Universe will change forever. Get ready evil, Justice has many brand new faces. The Universe now has a bunch of new Champions. Self Insert OC story. Crossovers with other shows later on. Mixed genres. Multi-crossover. Harem later on.

Growth

Around chapter 20,^[5] the story transformed from a Loud House-focused fanfic to incorporate increasingly more franchises and universes. Jamesdean5842 describes his fic as “a massive super-crossover story that spans over many universes” and that his reason for writing it was “all about fun”.^[6] The plot generally follows “Team Loud Phoenix Storm”, an ever-growing group of heroes from a variety of franchises, as they travel across a multiverse and battle various enemies.

The fanfiction eclipsed the previously longest fanfictions ever written, Subspace Emissaries World Conquest and Ambience: A Fleet Symphony which both stands at around 4 million words each. The fic is so large that FanFiction.net were unable to display its size beyond 2²⁴-1 words (~16 million words), and many other word processors also struggled to compute it. As of February 2024, FanLore calculated its size at 35,122,100 words across 2,328 chapters.^[3]

On February 21st, 2024, Jamesdean5842 proclaimed The Loud House: Revamped as complete, and continued the story in a sequel titled The Loud House: Revamped 2 – Embodiment.^[10]

Opposition

On December 19th, 2024, a subreddit named r/antiloudhouserevamped was launched in opposition to Jamesdean5842's fanfictions. Reddit users u/Miss_Mainstream, u/DanTEHMan2001 and u/Typical_Orchid7387 were its core members.

The people of the subreddit would occasionally clash with Jamesdean5842.^[17][18][19]

Deletion

On July 29th, 2025, both fics were deleted from FanFiction.Net. The reason for the deletion was assumed to be the amount of text copied from other sources.^[5] That same day, Reddit user u/Miss_Mainstream claimed responsibility for the deletion by reporting it for plagarism,^[12] clarifying further in another post later that day.^[13] The deletion caused a variety of reactions.

Although some speculated that the text was lost forever,^[14] the text of the first fic had been preserved on the Internet Archive soon after its deletion^[2] and the second fic was later found on Google Drive.^[15]

Jamesdean5842 initially said he would not personally republish the fics anywhere.^[11] However, on March 31, 2026, he seemed to begin writing again on DeviantArt where they would be rehosted by DeviantArt user Omegaherox1.^[5][16]
