"Made You Look" also known as I Could Have My Gucci On, I Could Wear My Louis Vuitton is a song by Meghan Trainor that inspired a viral TikTok dance trend the month it was released in October 2022. The dance was created by TikToker @brookieandjessie in the days following its release. The song was also used in skits and general entertainment videos on TikTok outside the dance trend.

Origin

On October 10th, 2022, Meghan Trainor, best known for "All About That Bass," posted a video to TikTok^[1] teasing the release of her new single "Made You Look," garnering over 7.7 million views in two weeks (shown below, left). She posted several more videos to TikTok^[2] teasing it in the next few days, including one on October 18th that garnered over 11 million views in six days (shown below, right).

The song was released on October 21st, and on that day, Trainor then released the music video for the song on YouTube,^[3] garnering over 2.4 million views in three days (shown below).

The song inspired several viral videos on TikTok in the days before its original release. For example, on October 16th, 2022, TikToker^[4] @jayybeech posted a video doing outfit changes to the song, garnering over 8.3 million views in a week (shown below, left). On October 21st, TikToker^[5] @thewalters2wins posted a similar video, garnering over 13 million views in three days (shown below, right).

On October 22nd, TikTokers^[6] @brookieandjessie posted a video where they dance to the song, garnering over 11 million views in two days (shown below). Trainor duetted the video on TikTOk^[7] that day, captioned, "LOVE THIS DANCE," garnering over 13 million views in two days.

On the same day, October 22nd, TikToker^[8] @spencer.barbosa posted a video dancing to the song, garnering over 16 million views in three days (shown below, left). On October 23rd, Trainor posted a video to TikTok^[9] doing @brookieandjessie's dance backstage at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, garnering over 9.3 million views in a day (shown below, right).

Also on October 22nd, 2022, Twitter^[10] user @VminvLivetoday posted a K-Pop fancam set to the song, garnering over 3,700 likes and 20,000 views in a day (shown below).
