The line loosely translates to "I want to file a case against X," and is delivered by Madhav, a lawyer who's known for his shrewdness and comical demeanor. The catchphrase was used in August 2022 by people trying to express their dissatisfaction or dislike of certain things.

On August 10th, 2022, Twitter^[1] user @iUjjwal21 posted a tweet with the caption, "#MadhavMishra Ek case karna tha Khushi par jo mujhe zindagi bhar ka Dukh dekar chali gayi.💔," which loosely translates to "I want to lodge a case against "Happiness" which has left me and filled my life with 'Sadness.'" The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Madhav Mishra with a Better Call Saul logo edited to read "Better Call Madhav Mishra. The post gathered 15 likes and four retweets in three days (seen below).

The tweet format quickly went viral, with over a thousand tweets made using the hashtag on the same date, August 10th, 2022. One such example posted on August 10th by Twitter^[2] user @varxxxxxx read, "#MadhavMishra sir ek case karna tha mere gali ke kutto par jo raat bhar bhaukte rahte hai aur chain se sone nahi dete," which loosely translates to "I want to lodge a case against the street dogs who keep barking and won't let me sleep." The tweet gathered over 200 likes and 28 retweets in three days (shown below).
