On December 1st, 2019, Brazilian funk singer MC Teteu^[1] released an explicit version of the classic Christmas music "Jingle Bell" (shown below, left), which amassed over 3.5 million views and 53,000 likes in four years. A week later, on December 8th, 2023, the singer posted a clean version^[2] of the music, titled "Dingo Bell" (shown below, right), which received more than 100 million views and 1.8 million likes in four years.

About a year after the explicit funk music, a video of MC Teteu singing "Dingo Bell" after getting a neon-styled haircut went viral on social media. The video (shown below) was posted on YouTube^[3] by @dudulyrics on August 18th, 2020, garnering more than 4 million views and 174,000 likes in three years.

On December 25th, 2023, a video of MC Teteu singing "Jingle Bell" alongside Santa Claus was posted on X^[4] by user @legadaodamassa (shown below), which amassed over 24,000 likes and 6,000 retweets in three years.

MC Teteu's a cappella performance of "Jingle Bell" resurfaced on TikTok in June 2023. For example, on June 18th, 2023, TikTok^[5] user @n12.szn/ posted the Brazilian funk singer video (shown below, left) paired with the overlay text "pov: me for the past 5 hours." The post amassed more than 383,000 plays and 18,700 likes in six months. On November 14th, 2023, TikTok^[6] user @danielspr posted a POV video titled "Christmas in Brazil" (shown below, right), which garnered over 8.5 million plays and 1.1 million likes in a month.
