Mike Tyson's Butt, also known as Mike Tyson's Ass, Mike Tyson Cheeks or Mike Tyson Jock Strap, refers to a viral video in which storied boxer Mike Tyson accidentally had his bare butt shown during an interview before his influencer boxing match against YouTuber and amateur boxer Jake Paul. The incident occurred during Netflix's livestream broadcast of the fight in mid-November 2024, spawning photoshopped images and memes of Tyson's butt, mainly spread on X / Twitter, Reddit and TikTok, among other platforms.

Origin

On November 15th, 2024, Netflix's official X^[1] account shared the interview clip with Mike Tyson and his son Amir Tyson before his match against influencer Jake Paul. After answering Amir Tyson's question, Mike Tyson turned around and walked away as the cameraman kept on him, revealing he had been speaking while wearing his jockstrap and showing his naked buttcheeks as the camera quickly zoomed up and cropped it out. The video (seen below) amassed over 20 million views and 183,000 likes in a day.

The pre-fight interview showing Mike Tyson's butt quickly inspired numerous jokes and memes on social media. For example, on November 15th, 2024, X^[2] user @Rockstar82vansh posted a still image of SpongeBob SquarePants showing his butt (seen below), captioning it, "Mike Tyson walking away from the camera like," which garnered more than 7,300 likes 350 reposts in a day.

On the same day, X^[3] user @YUNGJEFF posted an iCarly reaction GIF and meme of a flashing bright light, captioning the post, "Seeing Mike Tyson’s ass on the TV," which received roughly 2.5 million views and 55,000 likes in a day.

Also on November 15th, 2024, TikTok^[4] user @notlizlol84 posted a video using a viral soundbite to comment on Mike Tyson's butt meme (seen below), which amassed over 200,000 plays and 51,000 likes in a day.
