Ashley Graham as A Mouse, also known as Moushly or Moushley, is a Twitter fan art trend that draws Resident Evil 4 Remake character Ashley Graham as a tiny mouse. The mouse version of Ashley Graham has inspired several works of fan art in less than a week since its inception.
Origin
On March 24th, 2023, when Twitter artist Agrimmora posted a tweet (shown below, left) that asks: "What if you booted up resident evil 4 remake and Ashley was just a tiny mouse, what would you do?", along with an art page of Ashley Graham as a mouse in various scenarios with Leon Kennedy (shown below, right).[1] The tweet received over 21,000 likes and over 6,000 retweets in over four days.
Agrimmora shortly followed up with the mouse Ashley Graham performing the "For You, It's On The Mouse!" meme (shown below, left) by the request of Twitter user ectoplasmVA, which received over 3,500 likes and over 800 retweets in over four days.[2][3] Agrimorra cited that the reason they drew Ashley Graham as a mouse was due to a work of Resident Evil 4 fanart by Twitter artist salomoncallee, which depicted Ashley as a human with absurdly large, mouse-like ears that was posted on March 22nd, 2023 (shown below, right).[8][9]
Spread
Over the following days, many users began creating art depicting Ashley as a mouse. For example, on March 26th, Twitter user @slumberdoq[4] posted art that gained over 720 retweets and 2,700 likes (shown below, left). On the 27th, Twitter user @hyperbolide[5] posted art of Ashley as a mouth with goth aesthetics, gaining over 530 retweets and 1,400 likes (shown below, right).
Some users took the trending design to make memes, particularly referencing the Cheesed to Meet You meme. For example, on March 28th, a 4chan[6] user posted a "Cheesed to Meet You" meme with the design (shown below, left). In the same thread,[7] a user posted a similar meme with a mouse version of Salazar (shown below, right).
On July 16th, 2023, YouTube animator TerminalMontage posted "Something About Resident Evil 4 REMAKE" (shown below, left). In the video, a Moushley plush is won as a prize in a shooting gallery minigame (shown below, right).
