On July 28th, 2016, Twitter^[1] user @BjDicaprio posted an image of Muffy handing Francine a phone from an episode of the children's TV show Arthur, writing, "Just ask my mama if I can spend the night she gone say yes to you," garnering over 11,300 likes and 13,000 retweets in seven years (shown below). This is the earliest known use of the image as a meme.

On December 15th, 2019, Tumblr^[2] user racial posted a meme using the same image, captioned, "Bitch that's the guy with 1,154 followers on Tumblr you better suck his dick," garnering over 42,000 notes in just over three years (shown below).

On March 31st, 2020, Tumblr^[3] user marshmallowdawn posted a version of the meme captioned, "Bitch it's the serve," garnering over 106,000 notes in three years and becoming a popular reaction image (shown below, left). On February 1st, 2022, Instagram^[4] user thegainz posted a version of the meme about building a gaming PC that gained over 42,000 likes in a year (shown below, right).

On June 13th, Tumblr^[5] user pissvortex posted a version of the meme referencing Better Call Saul, garnering over 13,300 notes in 10 months (shown below). On April 17th, 2023, Twitter^[6] user @mad_chowder posted a version of the meme about Twitter followers that gained over 11,300 likes in three days.
