My Husband Is Dead I Only Want Sex refers to an online pornography ad showing an image of a woman smiling beside the caption, "MY HUSBAND IS DEAD I don't want to remarry. I only want SEX. See my pussy. CLICK HERE." The image gained viral spread online starting in 2014 and inspired variations as an exploitable image macro where users photoshop new images beside the caption.

Origin

On June 16th, 2014, Redditor Aaragon posted a banner ad to /r/funny^[1] that appears on pornographic websites showing an image of a woman smiling next to a caption about her husband being dead and encouraging viewers to click to see her genitalia, writing, "These porn ads are REALLY getting out of control." The post gained over 3,400 upvotes in eight years, although the original image has been deleted. An early reupload of it is available through Facebook^[2] page Hipster Doisy, posted on September 8th of that year (shown below). It is unclear who created the original ad or where it was originally posted.

Spread

The image became the subject of photoshops where people replace the image of the woman with a more funny image as early as 2016. For example, on March 18th, 2016, Facebook^[3] user The retarded albino Adam Sandler posted the meme replacing the woman with Adam Sandler from Jack and Jill, gaining over 40 shares in six years (shown below).

On April 9th, 2021, the day Prince Philip died, Instagram^[4] user supreme.gentlemen posted a version of the meme placing Queen Elizabeth II to the left of the caption, gaining over 5,300 likes in a year (shown below). Numerous versions of the meme making this same joke with other pictures of the Queen went viral around the same time.
