My Peanus Horts So Bad is a purposely misspelled catchphrase used in shitposting, most often on Twitter, in ironic jokes about a person's penis hurting. The phrase was first posted to Twitter in April 2021 and spread over the course of the year, seeing a boost in virality in December of that year.

Origin

On April 27th, 2021, Twitter[1] user @SAmalgamated commented on a now-deleted post by @TheOmniLiberal, "Me peanus horts. It horts when I pea," unrelated to the topic of the tweet,[2] gaining four likes in nine months. This is the earliest known use of the phrase "peanus horts" (shown below).

Spread

Various Twitter[4] users posted the phrase over the following months. On December 2nd, 2021, Twitter[3] user @meowmeowmia posted a photoshopped image macro of the Gangster Pillsbury Doughboy captioned, "No, I Don't Have Sex, I'm Afraid My Peanus Will Hort So Bad," gaining over 65,000 likes and 5,500 retweets in a month (shown below).

Jokes using the phrase grew in prevalence over the following weeks. On December 4th, 2021, Twitter[5] user @sheepcouch posted a version referencing "Last Resort" by Papa Roach, gaining over 2,100 likes in a month (shown below, left). The phrase also spread to memes on Instagram,[6] for example, an I Wish I Was At Home meme posted by @dox_gay on December 5th (shown below, right).

On January 4th, 2022, Justing Whang posted a screenshot of a news headline about a castrated pedophile complaining about their aching genitalia captioned "His peanus horts so bad" to Twitter,[7] gaining over 9,500 likes and 370 retweets in a day (shown below).
