My Pronouns Are None, Do Not Refer To Me is a catchphrase popularized through memes including image macros and X (Twitter) posts. The phrase was first posted to X in 2018 and gained viral spread over the following years.

Origin

On January 18th, 2020, Redditor u/Beor_The_Old posted a screenshot of a now-deleted X post to /r/me_irl^[1] originally posted by @prettyboysad on June 10th, 2018, writing, "I have no pronouns please do not refer to me," garnering over 40,000 upvotes in four years (shown below). This is the earliest known example of the meme.

Spread

On September 8th, 2020, Instagram^[2] user sirrealer posted an image macro using a variation of the phrase, garnering over 43,900 likes in four years (shown below).

On April 1st, 2021, Instagram^[3] user default_foreskins posted a version of the meme with a possum that was reposted to /r/boottoobig^[4] on May 30th, titled, "I'm on the run, you might have heard of me," garnering over 9,800 upvotes in three years (shown below, left). The meme was purportedly originally by Instagram^[5] user opossumthings. On May 3rd, 2022, Instagram^[6] user raccoon_motivation posted a version of the meme that gained over 9,600 likes in two years (shown below, right).

On May 1st, 2023, X^[7] user DragonCatalyst posted a version of the meme that gained over 1,700 likes in nine months (shown below). On October 24th, Instagram^[8] user wmr_crafts posted a meme that gained over 4,600 likes in four months.
