Geometry Dash Normal Difficulty Face Drawing is a poorly drawn version of the "normal difficulty" face from Geometry Dash, depicted as a smiling green face with dark shading around its mouth, drawn by X / Twitter user @WidviIky. The drawing was posted online in September 2023 and became the subject of redraws and memes across social media, particularly on TikTok, in videos prominently featuring the face.

Origin

On September 21st, 2023, X^[1] user @WidviIky posted a drawing they made when they were six or seven years old of all the Geometry Dash difficulty mode faces, particularly pointing out the green "normal difficulty" face, writing, "I just found this drawing that I did when I had 6 or 7 and I’ve been crying everytime I see the normal difficulty," garnering over 71,100 likes in a month (shown below).

Spread

The face became the subject of memes over the following weeks, particularly on X and TikTok. On October 8th, 2023, TikToker^[2] @pvzdabestofficial posted a slideshow consisting of the original normal difficulty face followed by the drawing, the former labeled "I was lightning" and the latter labeled "thunder," garnering over 700,000 views in 10 days.

On October 9th, TikToker^[3] @cheeseduckk posted a video showing numerous printouts of the face, garnering over 432,000 views in a week (shown below, left). On the same day, TikToker^[4] @nieoddamroweru posted a video in which the face replaces an obstacle in a Geometry Dash level, garnering over 100,000 views in the same span of time (shown below, right).

On October 11th, X^[5] user @Pengooin_ posted a redraw of the faces from the original post, garnering over 3,500 likes in a week (shown below).

On October 17th, TikToker^[6] @ss0d44 posted a video in which they claim they bought their boyfriend the Headless pack on Roblox and he created a "normal difficulty" avatar using it, garnering over 200,000 views in a day (shown below).
