The term began to spared over the following months. On June 24th, 2025, X^[2] user @marnixample posted a photo of Lizzo and Nicki Minaj, writing, "she was trying so hard to outmug nicki 😭😭" garnering over 38,000 likes in a month.

On July 4th, X^[3] user @burya_friend posted a photo of themselves next to a photo of Elvis, writing, "like this if i outmug elvis," garnering over 3,100 likes in three weeks.
