About
Patrick Bateman At The Office Party or Patrick Bateman Holiday Party refers to a series of edits based on a scene from the 2000 film American Psycho in which main character Patrick Bateman attends his company's Christmas party and gets surprised after seeing a pet pig. In the edits, which gained viral usage in late November 2022 on TikTok, Bateman's unpleasant facial expression and many other reactions during the party are used alongside relatable text overlays.
Origin
On April 14th, 2000, psychological thriller American Psycho premiered in the United States.[1] In one scene of the film, main protagonist Patrick Bateman is shown attending his company Christmas party with Allen, who mistakes Bateman for another coworker once again, making plans for dinner after the party. After that, Bateman gets surprised to see a pet pig in someone’s arm. (scene shown below).
