PeniSMP, sometimes spelled Penis SMP, refers a tongue-in-cheek Tumblr fandom centered around fake Minecraft YouTubers. The fandom is a parody of the zealous fandom around real Minecraft YouTubers such as Dream.

Origin

In a deleted text post posted in May of 2021, Tumblr user slashkid complained about how Minecraft YouTuber fans will often join in on threads by connecting the post to a Minecraft YouTuber video. The post read, "mcyt fans will see an unrelated post and be like 'ohmygoodness…this reminds me of how shittyfartbaby69 and penisunavailable were during the minecraft electric chair execution scene🥺'." It gained over 8,300 notes in a few days (May 20th reblog by lastvalyrian^[1] shown below).

Spread

As the post spread, Minecraft YouTuber fans began joking about the post by acting as though shittyfartbaby69 and penisunavailable were real streamers and invented lore about the "electric chair execution scene." Tumblr user the-king-of-lemons^[2] wrote a post establishing that shittyfartbaby69 was executed on May 19th in the electric chair. Over the following days, multiple other streamers were invented for the PeniSMP lore, including Milfboss, Admiral Anus, Tiddyslappers, Cumshits, and others.^[3] Artwork for the cast was created in the PeniSMP Discord server (shown below).

Explainers for PeniSMP have been written by several users, including night-and-dae,^[4] craftiebo^[5] and siirfrog.^[6] A timeline for the events concocted by the PeniSMP fandom has been compiled on Google Docs.^[7] A Wiki^[3] is also being created by the fandom. The fandom has also generated a sizable amount of fan art for the numerous characters and ships in the fandom. On May 24th, 2021, Ryan Broderick covered the developing fandom in his Garbage Day^[8] newsletter.
